This is a light, non-creamy, easy and more importantly is healthy Chinese dessert that is so yummy and goes great should you down with cold.
Ingredients:
1 kg Orange sweet potatoes, washed, peel and cut into chunks4 cups Water
1 pcs. 3 inch ginger root, crushed (you may adjust it to your personal taste)
1/2 cup Dried longan
1 cup Dark brown sugar (you may vary the amount depending on your personal taste)
How to do it?
Bring the water to boil. Add in ginger and sweet potatoes. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes. Add in the longan and continue to cook until the sweet potatoes is tender.Add in sugar and bring it to a boil again until all sugar dissolved.
It is best serve while it is still hot.
